Find out more about the medical effectiveness of the Orthelligent sensor here.
The studies focus on the technical validation of the measurement methods and sensors to ensure accurate results and to investigate how reliable and precise these methods are. The function in the area of application is also checked and compared with other systems. It is analyzed how well the methods work in practice and whether they meet the requirements and needs of the users.
Technical validation
As part of the technical validation, the aim is to prove that the measurement results of the Orthelligent sensors are exactly comparable with those of the previously used methods.
Acquisition of Lower-Limb Motion Characteristics with a Single Inertial Measurement Unit – Validation for Use in Physiotherapy
Jürgen Mitternach, Aljoscha Hermann1, Patrick Carqueville
The measurement results of the Orthelligent sensors were compared with those of marker-based 3D video motion analysis (gold standard method) in healthy subjects. There were little to no differences. The study also investigated the special features of functional tests and their significance for practical applications.
